Aunt Else's ÆbleskiverTM Story
Like many Danish families, Aunt Else's recipe has been handed down for generations. After 100+ years in the Andersen-Henriksen Family, we are proud to share our families' æbleskiver tradition with you!

We use locally grown, organic wheat flours & buttermilk in Aunt Else's Æbleskiver MixTM. For optimum taste and enjoyment, we recommend adding local, organic eggs when using Aunt Else's Æbleskiver MixTM, as we do when serving at the Mill City Farmers Market.

Every family has their favorite way to serve æbleskiver. Traditionally, a slice of apple is baked inside each æbleskiver, which is also how we serve them. Berries, jam, chocolate, sausage, or cheese all make delicious fillings. They are wonderful without filling as well.
We top them with maple or berry syrup, honey, applesauce, or jam, depending on what is available at the Farmers Market. Finally, we dust them with powdered sugar and they are ready to be enjoyed!

Aunt Else's Æbleskiver is named in honor of Else (Andersen) Jacobsen, who lives in Morgan, MN.
Else and her sister, Florence (Andersen) Henriksen, passed down the family recipe, their æbleskiver pans and shared the proud Danish tradition of making æbleskiver for their family, friends and neighbors.

Aunt Else & Florence are pictured here at their dual-wedding in 1948.
